Directness, Openness, and Honesty
Okay well, I wanted to do this American Value because I didn't see anyone else had this one. I also wanted to compare these because The puritans were all about being honest. For example, if someone was to sneek off into the forest to give a Native American some grains, they would be looked down on. Just like in our sociecty if you were to lie and skipp school to give a homeless guy some food, some people would think it was okay, but most would have you punished. As did the Puritans, they had both Roger Williams and Anne Hutchinson banished from the comunity, not for skipping school but for "rebelling" against the community. The Puritans wanted people to be honesty "Pure-itan" and we want people to be honest, but in a wholesome (tell me what i want to hear but thats also the truth) way.
