Puritan Values

The Puritans were a group of people in the 1600’s that were very action and work oriented. The Puritans had to constantly be focused on working on what they need to get done or else they would not survive. Almost all of their time was spent working around the village or attending church services. The Puritans had little free time to do what they wanted. The Puritans were very narrow minded people. They only respected the people that had the same beliefs as them. The Puritans would raid the Native’s villages and land instead of negotiating for it. I found this very odd that they did this because they were churchgoing people that thought that only the most religious people went to heaven. Being work and action orienting is a trait that you need to have when you are starting a new village in harsh conditions.
