I believe that the puritans were action/work oriented due to many reasons. To start off they always were working, as we have seen in the video. They try and work very hard to establish themselves and the colony into the new and unfamiliar land that they call home. Going to new land and trying to survive and live is very hard. They also took action against the native americans where they battled and pushed them out of the land. Work and religion was everyones first priority in the Puritan society.
