Directness, Opnenness, and Honesty.
The Puritans were very good at being direct, open, and honest, to one another and everyone else they came into contact with. For example, the Puritans believed that everyone should believe the same thing. They would march into Native American villages, and kill everyone for not believing the same things they did. Another way the Puritans showed their directness, openness, and honesty was when it came to religion. The Puritans were very open and honest about their beliefs. Everything to them was always about going to Hell. If you did something that upset the Puritans, they would just up and tell you, "You're going to Hell for that." That's pretty direct if you ask me. Dominant American values were very prominent in the period in the period that they were around for and being direct, open, and honest is just one of them that they have achieved.
