One American value that is shared with present day and back to the Puritans is religion. Religion now, and then was very important to people's lives. It shapes and helps create who people are. The Puritans were very strong with their religion. They believed a certain way and that's how things should be done. They believed everything from the bible and followed that and only that. That is one thing shared because some people now live that way.
